Software should help you work, not get in your way.

I'm Jan Skurovec, a professional developer since 2005. I build business software around the people who use it, connecting the tools, information, and processes they need to get their work done.

I typically reply by the next business day

I have zero tolerance for bad software.

Unnecessary clicks. Entering the same information twice. Building workarounds just to finish a simple task. I care about removing that friction from everyday work.

Attach the ticket. Fill the form.

In Typagenda, entering ticket details used to mean copying information from text or PDFs. I added AI-assisted form filling so the team can attach the ticket and have its details entered automatically.

Schedules that can change with the day.

A technician's schedule rarely stays as planned. The repair system makes it easy to organise the work and reschedule it when things change. Moving an appointment should be a routine action.

Fewer steps to get the job done.

A feature can meet every requirement and still be frustrating to use. I care about how many steps a task takes, whether information is easy to find, and what happens when something goes wrong.

What that looks like in practice

Ticket details entered from an attachment. Technician schedules that are easy to change. Software built for the work people actually do.

Repair shop management system

I built a repair management system that makes technician scheduling and rescheduling straightforward. Plans change throughout the day, so adjusting the work needs to be as easy as planning it in the first place.

Typagenda: travel agency management

I designed, built, and continue to manage the agency's platform for reservations, invoicing, and client operations. Its AI-assisted form filling lets the team attach a ticket and have its details entered automatically.

What you get

A developer who takes responsibility for the whole system

A complete system

I handle the database, backend, and user interface. You work directly with the person building your system, from understanding the problem to maintaining the software after launch.

AI-assisted, human-verified

I use AI to speed up project setup, repetitive code, tests, and documentation. I then review and refine the work myself. This shortens delivery time without giving up code quality, maintainability, or sound architecture.

Clear communication

I use email as the main record of our decisions, so you get clear documentation and time to review each detail. You also communicate directly with me throughout the project.

Automate repetitive work

I use AI where it has a practical benefit: reducing manual data entry, speeding up routine administration, and preventing avoidable errors. Your team spends less time on repetitive tasks and more time on work that needs their judgment.

Understand the work. Build. Keep simplifying.

From the first conversation to seeing the software in use

I want to see the software being used. A feature being finished doesn't tell me whether it's easy to use. I want to see how people work with the system: where they hesitate, repeat themselves, or take unnecessary steps. That helps me decide what to simplify next.

Why hire a professional when AI can build software?

For a small, self-contained tool, doing it yourself may be all you need. When your business depends on the software, you need someone who understands your work and can maintain the system as your needs change.

You're paying for experience, responsibility for the result, and someone you can turn to when things change or go wrong. AI just makes me more effective.

1

Show me how you work

Tell me what your team does, which tools you use, and what slows you down. You do not need a technical specification to start.

2

Choose what to simplify

Together, we identify the work that solves your problem and leave out features that do not help.

3

Try a working version

I build a working demo early so we can try the important tasks and refine the system around your feedback.

4

Launch and improve

I deploy the system for your team. Once it is in use, I want to see which tasks still take too many steps and improve them with you.

What is taking more work than it should?

Tell me what your team does manually, which tools don't connect, or what has become difficult to manage. You don't need a technical specification to start the conversation.

Tell me what gets in your way

I'm based in Prague, Czech Republic, and prefer to meet in person when possible. A good working relationship matters as much as the technical fit.

Email is the best place to start. Describe a task that takes too long or a system that makes work harder. I'll reply by the next business day to arrange a meeting or call.

Projects that are a good fit

  • Internal tools for operations and back-office workflows
  • Process automation that replaces spreadsheet-heavy or manual work
  • Custom dashboards, admin systems, and integrations

We can start with one frustrating task. In a 15-minute conversation, we can explore whether it could be simpler.
